What: FREE Webinar
Where: Right from your computer.
Duration: 60 minutes, including LIVE Q&A

Despite the scientific consensus that high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is safe, natural and nutritionally the same as table sugar, there has been vocal misunderstanding of these facts among consumers—and good-faith, though misguided, efforts by beverage marketers to respond to those consumers by removing HFCS from their products.

The webinar reviews the scientific evidence in support of the facts about HFCS; recent research, conducted by Beverage Industry and Clear Seas Research, into beverage marketers’ understanding and beliefs about the science and consumer attitudes toward HFCS; actual consumer purchase behaviors, as reported by Nielsen; and how regulators, manufacturers and retailers are changing the way they look at sweeteners. A live question-and-answer session follows.

The presenters are John S. White, Ph.D., caloric sweetener expert and president of White Technical Research, who has spent more than 28 years in researching the production, functionality, applications, consumption and metabolism of sweeteners; and Beth Surowiec, executive director of Clear Seas Research, who has more than 16 years’ experience in research focused on new product development, product/brand positioning, market opportunity, advertising effectiveness, and customer satisfaction and loyalty.
