Campbell Soup Co. introduced V8 Spicy Hot Low Sodium 100 percent vegetable juice. The juice contains 140 mg. of sodium in each 8-ounce serving, which also contains two servings of vegetables and 50 calories. V8 Spicy Hot Low Sodium juice displays the American Heart Association Heart Check Mark and meets the U.S. government’s requirements for a low-sodium food, the company says. The low-sodium juice is part of Campbell’s overall corporate strategy to reduce the sodium content across its portfolio of products. Last year, the company reduced the sodium content of original Spicy Hot V8 juice by more than 40 percent to 480 mg. of sodium per serving. The new variety is available nationwide for $3.99 for a 46-ounce bottle.
