Borba Skin Balance Water

9th Street Beverage, a non-alcohol subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch, began distributing Borba Skin Balance Aqua-less Crystallines and Borba Skin Balance Water, in packets and bottles, respectively. The packets are added to to a 16-ounce bottle of water for two servings, the company says. The packets and bottles offer antioxidants, vitamins and botanicals for skin-care benefits, such as clear complexion, smoother skin and help for dry, dehydrated skin. Borba Skin Balance Aqua-less Crystallines are available in four varieties: Clarifying, designed to help oily skin and pore cleansing; Age Defying, to help the appearance of aging skin, fine lines and wrinkles; Firming, to promote skin’s natural smoothness; and Replenishing, to diminish skin’s dryness and sensitivity. Borba retails for $2.99 a bottle and $28 for box of 14 packets.

Fuze Empower

Fuze Beverage Co. announced its commitment to bringing breast cancer awareness and education to consumers with its newest flavor Empower. The company donated $650,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure with the introduction of this beverage. The product is a Pomegranate Acai Berry flavor and contains antioxidants that are equal to one serving of vegetables. The product is available in 18.5-ounce and 16.9-ounce bottles and retails for $1.79.
Fuze also introduced Black and Green Tea. The product contains Acai Berry as well as vitamins C, E, B3, B5, B6 and B12. Antioxidants equal to two servings of vegetables are in each 18.5-ounce bottle, the company says.

Give Strength

PurBlu Beverages introduced a Give Strength addition to its Give water line. The addition is a vapor-distilled electrolyte-infused water and proceeds from the product will benefits the fight against muscular disorders, the company says. The Give line contributes 10 cents per bottle to charitable causes. Packaged in 23-ounce bottles, the waters retail for $1.29 to $1.49. PurBlu Beverages also announced that Give water will be available in four new markets, including Boston, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Mo., and Maine.

Fruit 66
4U2U Brands introduced Fruit 66, a sparkling fruit drink. The drink is being distributed in health-conscience school systems, the company says. Fruit 66 contains 100 percent fruit juice, calcium, folic acid and vitamins C and A. The product contains 95 calories per 8-ounce can and is available in Apple Berry, Fruit Punch, Orange Tangerine and Strawberry Kiwi flavors. A portion of proceeds goes to the School Nutrition Foundation.
 
Pure Cool
 
Watermark Innovation introduced Pure Cool, a zero-calorie water. The beverage is available in Triple Chill, Tropical Tiki and It’s Berry Cool flavors in 16-ounce PET bottles, and Sparkling Mojo Cool and Sparkling Pear Ginger-Ice flavors in 12-ounce glass bottles. Pure Cool uses mint as a natural cooling agent in some of the products, the company says.
 
PureSport Workout
 
Human Performance Labs introduced PureSport Workout, a powdered sports drink with protein. The powder offers a 2.67-to-1 carbohydrate-to-whey protein ratio and is mixed with 16 to 20 ounces of water. In addition to protein, the company says PureSport Workout replaces lost fluids and electrolytes, restores fuel during exercise, and enhances recovery. The powder is packaged in 0.85-ounce packets and is available in Lemon, Grape, Fruit Punch and Banana Berry flavors.
The company also introduced PureSport Recovery, a powdered sports drink with protein for post workout. The company recommends taking PureSport Recovery 15 minutes after a workout. The powder is packaged in 2.47-ounce packets and is available in the same flavors as PureSport Workout.
 
P.I.N.K. Spirits
 
P.I.N.K. Spirits Co. introduced its Rum, Tequila, White Whiskey, Sake and Gin, all infused with caffeine and guarana. P.I.N.K. Tequila is 80 proof and is made from blue agave. P.I.N.K. Rum is imported from Holland and distilled from black strap sugarcane molasses. P.I.N.K. White Whiskey also is imported from Holland and is produced in single batches and copper pot distilled. P.I.N.K. Sake is imported Honjozo Sake produced by Artesian Sake distillery in Nishinomiya, Japan. P.I.N.K. Gin is produced in England and contains juniper berries, lemon zest, cucumber, heather, lilac, violets and cardoon zest. The spirits are available in 750-ml. bottles and are priced between $30 and $45.
 
Mountain Dew Flavors
 
Pepsi-Cola Co. held a Mountain Dew DEWmocracy election this summer between three consumer-created Mountain Dew flavors: Mountain Dew Revolution, Mountain Dew Supernova and Mountain Dew Voltage. All three flavors were available in stores and consumers voted for their favorite flavor. More than 25 million consumers voted, and Mountain Dew Voltage won the competition by capturing 42 percent of the vote. The product has raspberry citrus and ginseng notes and will appear in stores in January 2009.
 
Fog Mountain
 
Boisset Family Estates introduced Fog Mountain, an organically farmed California Nouveau. The wine is produced from California grapes in the Nouveau style of the Beaujolais region of France. Packaged in 750-ml. PET bottles, the PET bottles produce 40 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions than traditional bottles, the company says. In addition, the PET bottles for the company’s Beaujolais Nouveau wines sold in North America reduce weight and freight costs by 42 percent and 33 percent, respectively. Boisset estimates a savings of more than 37 million pounds of carbon dioxide. The company’s PET bottled wines retail for $12.99.
 
Tullamore Dew 10-Year-Old
 
Tullamore Dew announced the addition of a limited-edition Tullamore Dew 10-Year-Old. The company allotted 900 bottles of the 10-Year-Old blend for 2008. The product was aged in Spanish and American oak casks and has notes of malt, spice, wood and vanilla, the company says. Packaged in a 700-ml. bottle, the whiskey is 40 proof and retails for $35.
 
Tanteo Tequila
 
Tanteo Spirits Co. introduced Tanteo Tequila, a collection of blanco tequilas. The tequilas contain 100 percent blue agave and are available in Jalapeño, Chocolate and Tropical flavors. Tanteo Jalapeño is infused with organic jalapeño; Tanteo Chocolate contains roasted, malted and raw cocoa; and Tanteo Tropical combines mango, pineapple and guanabana. Tanteo is distilled, infused and bottled in Tequila, Mexico. The 750-ml. bottles are priced at $49.99.
 
Three Olives Root Beer Vodka
 
Proximo Spirits Inc. announced that Three Olives Vodka will revive an old-fashioned drink, Three Olives Root Beer vodka. The Root Beer addition joins the Original, Cherry, Grape, Passion Fruit, Pomegranate, Green Apple, Chocolate, Orange, Berry, Vanilla, Citrus, Raspberry, Watermelon, Mango and Triple Espresso flavors. A 750-ml. bottle retails for $19.99.
 
Ito En Oolong Shot
 
Ito En introduced Oolong Shot, an unsweetened ready-to-drink tea in a shot format. The product is brewed from whole loose oolong tea leaves and contains 171 mg. of polyphenols. The shot provides 152 mg. of catechin green tea antioxidants. Packaged in a 6.4-ounce steel can, the shot retails for $1.79 and is available nationwide. Oolong Shot joins the company’s Sencha Shot.
 
Sun Shower Superfood Smoothie
 
NBI Juiceworks introduced Revitalize to its Sun Shower Superfood Smoothie line. The smoothie has an apple-kiwi-mango flavor, the company says. The other Sun Shower Superfood Smoothies include Defense, Heart Healthy, Stamina and Strength. All smoothie flavors are fortified with “Lifeguard Protection,” the company’s blend of nutrients, including protein, vitamins A, C, E, D, B5, B6 and B12, calcium, niacin, potassium, magnesium and folate. The product is available in 12-ounce and 28-ounce bottles.
In addition, NBI Juiceworks also introduced Drenchers Revitalize in 64-ounce containers. The new packaging comes in addition to the 12-ounce containers. Revitalize is available in a Grape-Apple flavor.
 
Virgil’s Diet Real Cola
 
Reed’s Inc. introduced Virgil’s Diet Real Cola, a beverage sweetened with stevia. Diet Real Cola contains no caffeine, artificial ingredients or preservatives. The recipe in Virgil’s Diet Real Cola is the same as it was from the early 1900s, the company says. The drink contains herbs, spices and fruit oils, including kola nut from Africa, clove bud oil from India and vanilla from Madagascar. The new flavor is an addition to Virgil’s portfolio of diet products, including Diet Root Beer, Diet Cream and Black Cherry Diet Cream. Available in 12-ounce long-neck bottles and packaged in four-packs, a four-pack retails for $5.99.
 
Hiram Walker Gingerbread Liqueur
 
Pernod Ricard introduced Hiram Walker Gingerbread Liqueur and reintroduced Hiram Walker Pumpkin Spice as seasonal flavors. Gingerbread Liqueur has a nutmeg color and brown sugar, ginger, vanilla and spice notes. Pumpkin Spice has notes of vanilla, graham cracker and pumpkin pie. Both of these Hiram Walker varieties are made with natural flavors. The two flavors are available in 750-ml. and 1-liter sizes. The 750-ml. bottle retails for $8.99 to $11.99.
 
Mondavi Lightly Oaked Chardonnay
 
Woodbridge Winery, founded by Robert Mondavi, expanded its wine portfolio to include Lightly Oaked Chardonnay. The wine is cool-fermented at 55 degrees F in stainless steel tanks to bring out the fresh fruit character of the grapes. The wine is bottled in a claret bottle and is available in 750-ml. and 1.5-liter Claret bottles. The Woodbridge Lightly Oaked Chardonnay retails for $7.99 for the 750-ml. bottle.

Sweet Leaf Tea introduced its newest flavors, Mango Green Tea and Blueberry Lemonade. The Mango Green Tea is available in a 16-ounce bottle and a 20-ounce hot-fill PET bottle with prices of $1.39 to $1.59 and $1.59 to $1.79, respectively. Each 8-ounce serving of Mango Green Tea contains 60 calories. Blueberry Lemonade is available in limited-edition 16-ounce, reusable Mason jars for a retail price of $2.49.

The tea is packaged in 12-ounce cans with a retail price of $1.99 and four-packs for $7.99.

Performance water
 
Big Earth Brands Ltd. released Vital Action Performance Water targeted at athletes. The flavored water uses Fruit Up Premium, a sweetening system made from a blend of clear fruits such as apples and grapes. The product contains ginseng and arginine, which are said to promote circulation; echinacea, which is used to boost the immune system; and N-acetyl-L-cysteine, which is thought to boost glutathione levels and neutralize free radicals. In addition, the beverage also contains B3, B5, B6 and B12 vitamins. It is available in Cherry, Orange, Grape, Lime, Lemonade, Strawberry and Tropical flavors with the names Red, Orange, Purple, Green, White, Pink and Yellow, respectively. Each bottle retails for $1.99.
 
Iced tea sticks
 
Arizona Beverage Co. introduced Arizona Iced Tea Stix. The tea sticks are available in Pomegranate Green Tea, Lemon Tea, Peach Tea and Green Tea with Ginseng flavors. The company says to use the powder in the sticks in 16.9-ounces of water, or for a lighter tea drink, use 20 ounces of water. Each of the varieties contains natural flavors and colors. The varieties are sold in a box of 10 sticks with a retail price of $2.99 to $3.99.
 
Spirit for the city
 
The Absolut Spirits Co. Inc. introduced a limited-edition vodka, Absolut Los Angeles. The city-inspired spirit is made with blueberry, acai berry, acerola cherry and pomegranate flavors. The company will donate $250,000 from the sales of the product to Green Way LA, an organization dedicated to improving urban life by restoring nature’s services, such as parks and trees, while providing for the health and welfare of the community. Although the flavor is limited-edition, it is being distributed nationwide.
 
Probiotic fruit drink
 
NextFoods and Steve Demos, organic and natural foods industry pioneer, introduced GoodBelly, a fruit drink with probiotics and antioxidant-rich fruit. The product is dairy-free, soy-free, wheat-free and is vegan. GoodBelly is available in two product lines: GoodBelly Probiotic Fruit Drink and GoodBelly Multi Probiotic Fruit Drink. GoodBelly Probiotic Fruit Drink is packaged in a 32-ounce carton, and comes in Black Currant, Cranberry Watermelon and Mango flavors. The retail price is $3.99. GoodBelly Multi Probiotic Fruit Drink has a concentration of 20 billion live and active probiotic cultures, minerals and vitamins. It is available in a four-pack of 2.7-ounce single-serve containers, and comes in Blueberry Acai, Strawberry Rosehips and Peach Mango flavors. The retail price is $4.49.
 
Iced coffee, tea and lattes
 
NBI Juiceworks introduced Sun Shower Super Blends Iced Coffees, Teas and Lattes in Iced Coffee, Mocha Cappuccino, Chai Tea Latte and Chocolate Raspberry Frappe flavors. Each of the flavors contains “Lifeguard Protection,” a fortification blend with vitamins A and E and zinc. Packaged in 9.5-ounce bottles, the products have 70 calories and are low in carbohydrates. The products also contain non-fat milk, calcium, niacin and magnesium. They retail for $1.99.
 
Fit lattes
 
Javalution Coffee Co. and Insight Beverages introduced JavaFit Lattes in four varieties. JavaFit Extreme Latte, fortified with green tea extract; JavaFit Diet Latte, which contains Advantra Z, a weight-loss supplement; JavaFit Focus Latte, with Alpha GPC, a phospholipid metabolite thought to improve mental focus, and multivitamins; and JavaFit Immune Latte, which has echinacea and vitamins. The company says its line of JavaFit Lattes were created to benefit an active lifestyle, improve health and wellness or assist with weight management goals.
 
Mind and body beverage
 
Mor Beverage Corp. introduced Mor, a beverage for the mind and body, the company says. The beverage is lightly carbonated and contains sucralose as a sweetener. It is made with natural fruit flavors and vitamins. Mor is packaged in 12-ounce cans, and is available in Raspberry Strawberry, Pomegranate Lemon and Cranberry flavors. The cans are available at Colorado retailers, including Sunflower Markets and Nordstrom’s e-bar, and retail for $1.99.
 
Football drink
 
Pepsi-Cola Co. introduced a limited-edition Lemon Pepsi NFL Kickoff drink to celebrate the start of the 2008 football season. The new product is available in regular and diet, and is packaged in 20-ounce and 2-liter bottles, and 12-ounce 12-packs. Lemon Pepsi NFL Kickoff will be available nationwide through November. Lemon Pepsi NFL Kickoff also will be a part of the Pepsi Stuff promotion, which offers consumers prizes by purchasing the product and collecting points.
 
Antioxidant coffee
 
Pom Wonderful, a subsidiary of Roll International Corp., introduced PomX Iced Coffee. The product provides the same antioxidant strength as 8 ounces of Pom Wonderful 100 percent Pomegranate Juice and 175 mg. of caffeine. It uses Rainforest Alliance certified, Italian-roasted Arabica coffee beans with reduced-fat or non-fat milk from cows not treated with rBST growth hormone, and organic sugar, the company says. PomX Iced Coffee is packaged in 10.5-ounce round bottles and is available in Café au Lait and Chocolate flavors. A bottle retails for $2.99.
 
Citrus energy
 
Crunk Energy Drink introduced new Crunk!!! Citrus flavor to its line. Packaged in 16-ounce cans, the beverage contains B vitamins, a blend of herbs, including ashwaganda, horny goat weed, white willow, skullcap, guarana and ginseng, and lemon-lime flavors. The can retails for $1.99 to $2.69.
 
Bar shots
 
Beam Global Wine and Spirits Inc. launched its newest product from DeKuyper, Burst Bar Shots. The pre-mixed shots are available in Red Headed Burst, Kamikaze Burst and Washington Apple Burst flavors. The flavors are 40-proof and will be sold in 50-ml., 375-ml., 750-ml., 1-liter sizes and 750-ml. plastic bottles. A 750-ml. bottle retails for $10.99.
 
Cognac and orange
 
Rémy Cointreau USA introduced Cointreau Noir, a blend of bitter orange and Rémy Martin cognac. Packaged in a 750-ml. golden-colored bottle, the product is 40 percent alcohol by volume. Cointreau Noir is priced at $60 and will be available in select liquor stores.
 
Cashew juice
 
O.N.E. World Enterprises added two new products to its line, O.N.E. Cashew Juice and O.N.E. Coffee Berry Juice. O.N.E. Cashew Juice is made from the fruit of the cashew plant, not the nut, and is non-allergenic, the company says. The fruit is fat-free and contains vitamin C. The Cashew Juice contains ingredients such as vitamins C and A, calcium and iron. O.N.E. Coffee Berry Juice contains a similar amount of caffeine as a cup of green tea, the company says. The juice is a blend of strawberry puree, acerola, whole coffee berry, natural flavors and organic evaporated cane juice. Both flavors are packaged in 11-ounce Tetra Pak packages and retail for $1.99.
 
Energy shots
 
Power Trip Beverages introduced Power Trip Vitamin Energy Shot. Packaged in a 2-ounce bottle, the flavored energy shot contains concentrations of vitamins C, B3, B5, B6, B9 and B12, and contains no sugar or carbohydrates. The shot is sold in 12-bottle trays and is also shrinkwrapped. The 2-ounce shot retails for $2.49.

Full Throttle Hydration

The Coca-Cola Co. introduced Full Throttle Hydration, a non-carbonated energy drink containing electrolytes and vitamins, and Full Throttle Coffee, a creamy coffee and energy blend. The products join Full Throttle Original, Full Throttle Unleaded, Full Throttle Blue Demon and Full Throttle Fury. Hydration is available in a Tropical Mix flavor and is packaged in 16-ounce aluminum cans. As part of the product rollout, Full Throttle Hydration sponsored the 2008 Full Throttle Hydration Kiteboarding tour in Miami. Full Throttle Coffee is made with Colombian Arabica coffee and is available in Mocha, Vanilla and Caramel flavors. Packaging for Full Throttle Coffee Caramel will be bilingual, in both English and Spanish. Coffee is packaged in 15-ounce aluminum cans.

Mosse Beverage Industries introduced new packaging and a new flavor for its line of Mosse sparkling beverages. The newest flavor, Black Cherry, joins Black Grape, White Grape and Coffee. The company plans to introduce a full line of 14 flavors at the rate of two new flavors per year. Each 8-ounce serving of Mosse contains less than 50 calories and is sodium free. New packaging includes 10-ounce glass bottles.
