The WhiteWave Foods Co., Denver, announced that 100 percent of the cocoa powder sourced across its portfolio of plant-based, dairy and creamer products within its Americas Foods & Beverages segment will be independently certified sustainable by the end of 2016. All WhiteWave brands based in North America, including Silk, So Delicious Dairy Free, Vega, Horizon Organic and International Delight, using cocoa as an ingredient will make the transition, the company says.
Malibu, a brand of Purchase, N.Y.-based Pernod Ricard, announced the introduction of Malibu Strawberry Kiwi Cans, its newest addition to its ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail portfolio, beginning this February. The pre-mixed cocktail combines the flavors of ripe strawberry and kiwi with a hint of Malibu Coconut and will be available packaged in single-serve cans for outdoor and on-the-go occasions throughout the spring and summer seasons, the company says. Malibu Strawberry Kiwi Cans join Malibu’s current line of flavors: Malibu Fizzy Pink Lemonade; Malibu and Pineapple; and Malibu Island Spiced & Club Soda.

Pure Leaf Iced Tea, a product of The Pepsi Lipton Tea Partnership, Purchase, N.Y., announced the launch of its Pure Leaf Tea House Collection, a super-premium line of the organic tea leaves brewed with fruits and herbs. In addition to its Pure Leaf Tea House Collection, the brand is building on its Unsweetened Iced Tea by launching two new flavors — Unsweetened Black Tea with Lemon and Unsweetened Green Tea — giving consumers more zero-calorie options that don't sacrifice on taste, the company says.
