Kellogg Co. donates to Nepal relief efforts

Food and beverage company donates $200,000 to World Food Programme

Kellogg Co., Battle Creek, Mich., made a $200,000 donation to the World Food Programme (WFP) to assist with disaster relief and humanitarian efforts following a 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Nepal and the surrounding region on Saturday, April 25, according to USA Today. More than 3,300 deaths have been confirmed, and the death toll still is expected to raise, USA Today reports. At least 18 were killed and dozens more were injured on Mount Everest, where the quake launched an avalanche, it says. The contribution is being made by the company and its charitable arm, the Kellogg Co. Fund.
