Jungheinrich AG, Hamburg,
Germany, is expanding its production capacity by constructing a new plant
for the manufacture of electric walkie trucks in Landsberg, Germany.
Production start-up in the east central location is scheduled for mid-2009.
Komatsu Forklift U.S.A.,
Covington, Ga., entered into an OEM agreement with Crown Equipment Corp., New Bremen,
Ohio, to supply Komatsu internal combustion, engine-powered forklifts to
Crown for distribution through Crown-owned dealers in the United States and
Canada. Crown will market the forklifts under the Hamech brand name.
Brentwood, Tenn., opened a new international services station at its
Atlanta facilities. The station will offer a full range of logistics
services, including customs brokerage and freight forwarding via air and
ocean, worldwide and door-to-door.
Hyster Co., Greenville,
N.C., donated a new lift truck to aid wildfire relief in California. The
truck will be used by the State of California and Adventist Community
Services for use in the state’s recovery warehouse in Miramar, Calif.
The Conair Group Inc.,
Cranberry Township, Pa., entered a joint agreement with Husky Injection Molding Systems,
Bolton, Ontario, to provide complete manufacturing solutions for the PET
preform market worldwide. The agreement allows for closer integration and
joint development of Husky’s injection molding systems and
Conair’s plastics auxiliaries systems.
Cooper Kenworth opened
a new parts and service facility in south Charlotte, N.C., to provide
enhanced customer support in the state.
