Summit Focuses on Safety

The Food Safety and Security Summit is just around the corner, March 6-8 in Washington, D.C. The event will feature expert speakers and provides a forum for food processors, retailers, foodservice, academia and government personnel to exchange ideas, find solutions and engage in networking opportunities. Following are some beverage-related items to look for at the show.
Water filtration
Pall Corp. will feature the Pall Aria SA water filtration system, designed to meet the sanitary requirements of food and beverage producers. The new system combines stainless steel components with proven microfiltration or ultrafiltration membrane modules. Available in custom configurations with flow rates ranging from 50 to 300 gpm, the system treats water from municipal, surface or ground sources. It produces a continuous supply of clean water, regardless of source, without the need to replace elements. In some cases, it may be used prior to a reverse osmosis process in food and beverage production, and may extend the life of the RO system. — Pall Corp., 2200 Northern Blvd., East Hills, N.Y. 11548; 516/484-5400; www.pall.com; Booth 122.
