Absolut Vodka
 was the title sponsor for the “Live Earth SOS” short film series aimed at generating awareness for the global climate crisis. The sponsorship begins at this month’s Live Earth concert in New Jersey.
Bravo! Brands, North Palm Beach, Fla., and Coca-Cola Enterprises, Atlanta, have terminated their distribution agreement. The companies, which agreed to a 10-year distribution deal in August 2005, cite economic returns that were “far below expectations” for the termination, said Ben Patipa, president of Bravo Brands, in a statement.
Canada’s Global Wine & Spirits opened a new office in Shenzhen, China to further its development strategy in the country.
Heineken USA, White Plains, N.Y., opened a new regional business unit office for the Northeast in Stamford, Conn. The 77-person office will manage the Heineken USA portfolio from Maine to Pennsylvania, which is currently the company’s largest sales region.
Palm Bay International, Boca Raton, Fla., has changed its name from Palm Bay Imports, which is reflected in a redesigned corporate logo for the importer of wine and spirits.
Peju Province Winery, Rutherford, Calif., announced several new environmental initiatives and renewed its commitment to sustainable farming. The company installed solar panels that provide 35 percent of the winery’s energy as well as energy-efficient bulbs, and switched to non-toxic and environmentally safe cleaning supplies. In addition, it is in the process of switching to recyclable packing and biodegradable shipping materials. The winery also offers an incentive to employees who purchase hybrid cars.
Icelandic Water Holdings, Thorlakshofn, Iceland, received CarbonNeutral Certification from the same-named company. The certificate recognizes the maker of Icelandic Glacial bottled water for its ongoing commitment to reduce its overall carbon imprint.
Reeds Inc., Los Angeles, entered an agreement with Heidelburg Distributing for distribution of Reed’s soft drinks in Ohio.
Bling H20 has been added to the menu at Pennsylvania’s Hershey Lodge, including the Hershey Grill and Forebay Lounge.

Sweet Success Enterprises, San Antonio, Texas, announced seven of its ready-to-drink functional beverages are available for sale at samsclub.com, the Web site of Sam’s Club warehouse stores owned by Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Bernick’s Beverages and Vending, Duluth, Minn., acquired Better Brands Inc., also of Duluth, Minn. The acquisition makes Bernick’s the second-largest Miller Brewing Co. distributor in Minnesota.
