Skinnygirl puts a twist on Margaritas with two new products

Sweet’arita, Sparkling Margarita ready-to-drink cocktails available this month

Skinnygirl MargaritasDeerfield, Ill.-based Beam Inc.’s Skinnygirl Cocktails brand introduced two new low-calorie, ready-to-serve additions to the Margarita category: Skinnygirl Sweet’arita and Skinnygirl Sparkling Margarita. Both offerings are available nationwide this month.

“I am so excited to introduce Skinnygirl Sweet’arita and Skinnygirl Sparkling Margarita to our growing portfolio and to offer fans a new way to enjoy a great-tasting cocktail without the guilt,” said Bethenny Frankel, founder of Skinnygirl Cocktails, in a statement. “These fun twists on the original Skinnygirl Margarita are both delicious and refreshing, and now I feel like there’s truly a Skinnygirl Margarita out there for everyone."

Skinnygirl Sweet’arita features a similar low-calorie count and flavor profile as the original Skinnygirl Margarita but with a hint of sweetness, the company says. With fewer than 100 calories in a serving, Skinnygirl Sweet’arita offers notes of sweet lime, orange and tequila with some tartness, it adds. The ready-to-drink cocktail also features an aroma of lime, complemented by notes of peppery tequila and orange for a finish that is subtly salty with citrus notes, it says. The 19.9-proof beverage is available in 750-ml and 1.75-liter bottles with suggested retail prices of $12.99 and $19.99, respectively.

Skinnygirl Sparkling Margarita offers an effervescent take on the Margarita with fewer than 100 calories in a serving. The product balances citrus and tequila, with a touch of sweetness and an aroma of lime with a short finish, the company says. The 19.9-proof beverage is available in 750-ml bottles with a suggested retail price of $12.99.

These latest additions to the Skinnygirl Cocktails line bring the portfolio to 21 products, including cocktails, wines and vodkas.
