CytoSport, Benicia, Calif., recently expanded distribution of its Muscle Milk Protein ready-to-drink (RTD) protein shakes into select Boots and Sainsbury’s Locals locations in the United Kingdom. Available in 330-ml packages, the protein shakes contain 20 grams of dairy protein to boost athletic performance and promote healthy lifestyles, the company says. The drinks also are gluten-free and low in sugar, it adds.

“Since we offer the product at such important local retail partners, we’re excited to provide our U.K. consumers with Muscle Milk Protein … as a way to support workout and training routines or active lifestyles,” said CytoSport’s U.K. General Manager Steve Norris in a statement. “There are many benefits to incorporating protein into your daily diet, and we look forward to educating our consumers [about] the ways Muscle Milk Protein can fit into both men’s and women’s daily routines.”

Available in Strawberry, Chocolate and Vanilla flavors, Muscle Milk Protein can help nourish the body pre-workout, post-workout or as a grab-and-go snack, the company says. Its proteins may be especially helpful to consumers starting a new exercise program, increasing their workout intensity, or looking to add protein to their daily diets, it says. The high-quality protein in Muscle Milk Protein also helps support the growth and maintenance of muscle mass, it adds.
