Snapple contest enables fans to win nothing

Specially marked caps offer prizes

July 1, 2013

Plano, Texas-based Dr Pepper Snapple Group’s Snapple brand is celebrating “nothing” through a new contest. Beginning July 1, consumers who purchase 16-ounce bottles of Snapple marked “Win Nothing Instantly” have the chance to win nothing in the form of prizes when they find specially marked text under their Snapple caps.

The grand prize, “No Bills,” gives consumers $500 toward their bills. First prize, “No Airfare,” gives consumers $400 toward a trip. Second prize, “No Thirst,” gives away a six-pack of Snapple every week for a year. Third prize, “No Grocery Bills,” offers $100 toward grocery shopping. Fourth prize, “No Pay At The Pump,” provides $50 for gas. Fifth prize, “Better Than Nothing,” presents consumers with a six-pack of Snapple.

“What’s more extraordinary than Snapple? Nothing comes to mind,” said Dave Fleming, director of marketing for Snapple, in a statement. “Over the years, we’ve heard from thousands of Snapple fans about what makes them stand out from the crowd. This summer, we want our fans to celebrate what brings us all together — nothing.”
