Epicurex LLC, North Miami Beach, Fla., announced that it will partner with natural and specialty food distributor KeHe to distribute its Cocozia 100 percent organic coconut water across the state of Florida.

Chicago-based Information Resources Inc. (IRI) released two new major demographic segmentations to help consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers and retailers better understand consumers. The NutriLink segmentation classifies U.S. consumers into six groups based on their behavior and attitudes toward health, diet and nutrition, as well as their demographics, while the SilverLink segmentation specifically analyzes U.S. adults aged 50 and older based on demographics; attitudes toward aging, health and wellness; shopping behavior; and lifestyle habits.

(IRI), Chicago, and SPINS, Schaumburg, Ill., created SPINS NaturaLink, a new segmentation of the total U.S. population that focuses on how shoppers think about, purchase and use natural, organic and eco-friendly products. Consumers increasingly are embracing natural and organic products and often are as concerned about what is not in the products they buy as much as what is in them, IRI notes. SPINS NaturaLink is designed to assist consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturers and retailers in generating new levels of growth through a better understanding of these shopper needs.

Bethesda, Md.-based Honest Tea, an independent operating unit of The Coca-Cola Co., released its 2013 Mission Report as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to be transparent about its business practices and its mission “to seek to create and promote great-tasting, healthier, organic beverages.”
Natural Products Expo West, produced by New Hope Natural Media, a division of Penton, showcased a record number of new natural and organic product launches at its 33rd show, which took place March 7-10 in Anaheim, Calif. Of the exhibitors, beverage-makers from established and emerging categories showcased their natural offerings.
