Kemin Food Technologies expanded its natural clean-label line with the release of a Kemin Fortra natural plant extract line, which provides triple-duty beverage protection by adding milkfat, flavor and color, while also preventing oxidation and degradation, the company says.

Hosted by the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), “IFT16: Where Science Feeds Innovation” brings food science and technology thought leaders from more than 90 countries representing the most prominent organizations in the global food sector. The annual show will take place July 16-19 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Drinktec 2013, which took place Sept. 16-20 in Munich, attracted 66,886 visitors from 183 countries, representing a 14 percent increase in attendance compared with drinktec 2009. Of these visitors, 62 percent traveled from countries outside of Germany, with 16 percent of the total visitors traveling from the United States.
St. Louis-based Sensient Colors LLC, a business unit of Sensient Technologies Corp., announced that its Sensient Food Colors Europe production facility achieved ISO 14001 certification for environmental management from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
