Cantina di Soave’s Duca del Frassino brand extended its line of premium Italian wine in a box with the addition of Chardonnay and Merlot/Pinot Noir varieties. Duca del Frassino Durello/Chardonnay is a full-bodied white wine that combines Chardonnay’s apple, pear, vanilla and caramel flavors with the Durello’s flavors of field flowers, peaches and fresh crispness, the company says. Merlot/Pinot Noir combines red fruits, strawberries, cherries raspberries and the fragrant spices of vanilla, cinnamon and cloves for a velvety red wine with lingering finish, it says. The bag-in-box format contains 3 liters of wine and lasts five weeks upon opening. The wines retail for $19.99. Cantina di Soave’s wines are imported by MW Imports, a division of Mionetto USA.
