Beer Capitol Distributing acquires W.O.W. Distributing Co.

Milwaukee-area MillerCoors distributor, Beer Capitol Distributing – Lake Country, Wauwatosa, Wis., has acquired W.O.W. Distributing Co. Inc., Sussex, Wis. Beer Capitol Distributing is a limited liability corporation owned jointly by Aldo Madrigrano, president of W.O.W. Distributing, and Ronald Fowler. The company will be headquartered in an expanded facility in Sussex.
 
“I couldn’t be happier to announce this acquisition, as it represents a new milestone for our businesses, and an opportunity to enhance our reputation for exemplary customer service and sales support by achieving shared operating efficiencies,” Madrigrano said, in a statement.
 
All operations and employees of W.O.W. Distributing will continue under new management at the Sussex facility. A majority owner of the new company, Madrigrano also will serve as chairman and chief executive officer. President of Beer Capitol Distributing Mike Merriman will serve as president of the Lake Country business as well. As part of the transaction, Thomas Madrigrano, vice president of W.O.W. Distributing, and Gina Madrigrano Friebus, vice president of administration, will retire.
 
Aldo Madrigrano, Merriman and Fowler also own Beer Capitol Distributing Co. Inc., Wauwatosa, Wis. The company will relocate to Sussex following the completion of a 120,000-square-feet addition of office space and warehouse this summer.
 
The Lake Country branch will serve retail customers in Wisconsin’s Washington, Ozaukee and Waukesha counties. The parent company will continue to serve customers in Milwaukee County. The Dodge County assets of W.O.W. Distributing were sold as part of the transaction.
 
Beer Capitol Distributing supplies the Milwaukee-area with brands by MillerCoors, Pabst Brewing Co., Crown Imports, Heineken USA, Boston Beer Co., Mark Anthony Brands, Paulaner HP USA and local Wisconsin breweries, such as Lakefront Brewery, Capital Brewery, the Stevens Point Brewery and Tyranena Brewing Co.
