KonaRed Corp., the Koloa, Hawaii-based manufacturer of antioxidant juices from CoffeeBerry coffee fruit, announced strong sales growth in the first half of 2014.

KonaRed's consumer product sales for the six months ended June 30 grew 71 percent to $782,141, compared with $458,816 in the prior-year period. In addition, total revenues increased 24 percent to $918,442 in the six-month period, compared with $738,532 last year.

"These results compare very favorably to total consumer product sales of $606,307 for full-year fiscal 2013," said KonaRed's Chief Executive Officer Shaun Roberts in a statement. "We've been working hard at our many sales initiatives, and these are starting to yield positive results. Momentum is heading in the right direction, and we continue to push to move growth along faster. Based on the fact that in six months we've already exceeded our consumer product sales for full-year 2013, I have little doubt that we'll double our sales in 2014 versus 2013 and expect we'll exceed that number."

KonaRed utilizes CoffeeBerry coffee fruit technology, a proprietary set of agricultural and industrial processes, and a line of unique ingredients that captures the potent nutrition inherent in coffee fruit owned by Momence, Ill.-based FutureCeuticals.
