Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, Gatlinburg, Tenn., has appointed Miami-based Monarq Group as the exclusive importer of Ole Smoky moonshines to Latin America, the Caribbean and U.S. duty-free retailers. The official launch will happen during The International Association of Airport Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) Duty Free Show of the Americas in Orlando, Fla., on March 9.

“By taking the time to select an importer, we have found a like-minded partner to manage the distribution of our premium moonshine portfolio in this region,” Ole Smoky Chief Executive Officer John Cochran said in a statement. “We look forward to working with the Monarq team in hopes of extending the Appalachian tradition to Latin American markets.”

Robert de Monchy, founder of Monarq, added: “Ole Smoky is a great addition to our portfolio of leading premium, independent alcoholic beverage brands. Moonshine is an exciting new category, and Ole Smoky’s proposition coincides perfectly well with our corporate philosophy of bringing innovation to the Americas. We look forward to working together with the Ole Smoky team and to achieve our mutual expectations.”

Ole Smoky’s portfolio consists of nine flavored moonshines, which currently are distributed in 49 states and Canada. For more information, visit www.olesmokymoonshine.com.
