Educational sessions will be aligned with one of six tracks: bar management and bartending; beer, food and wine; social media; operations and management; promotions and marketing; and customer experience and liability. Additionally, the show will offer four in-depth workshops as well as three keynotes, with opening remarks from Jon Taffer, president of the Nightclub & Bar Media Group and host and executive producer of Spike TV’s “Bar Rescue.”

Once again, the Emerging Brands, Craft Brewers and New Product pavilions will return to the exhibit hall. Sponsored by the Cooking Channel’s “Hot Mixology” TV show, the Emerging Brands Pavilion will feature a variety of boutique and emerging brands including RumChata and Slim Lizzy’s Cocktails, among others. The Craft Brewers Pavilion will showcase brands within the growing craft beer segment from breweries such as 21st Amendment Brewery, San Francisco; The Boston Beer Co., Boston; and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Chico, Calif. Finally, the New Product Pavilion will enable attendees to sample some of the latest spirits and test out new technologies.

In terms of competitions, the Nightclub & Bar Show will host the Craft Spirits Awards International Competition for the first time in Las Vegas. An expert panel of a dozen judges will award gold, silver and bronze medals after conducting 100-point blind tastings. On March 25, the main stage will host the Shake It Up! Bartender Competition, in which up-and-coming mixologists demonstrate skill, flair and creative concoctions and are judged by a panel of some of the nation’s leading mixologists.
