This fall, Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo’s Mountain Dew and Doritos brands will give fans a chance to bid on thousands of Xbox One entertainment systems through their "Every 2 Minutes" online auction experience.

By purchasing specially marked packages of Mountain Dew and Doritos products, fans can collect codes to enter the auction and submit them online at beginning Sept. 30 to start banking their points. Each code also gives the participant one entry into the daily sweepstakes for an Xbox One. Starting Nov. 5, participants can use their banked points to bid to win Xbox One entertainment systems in nightly auctions closing every two minutes from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Eastern time through Dec. 9. Participants also can use points to earn exclusive gear in the marketplace until Jan. 17, 2014.

Although the online auctions don’t start until later this month, the Mountain Dew and Doritos brands gave some gaming fans a chance to bid for an Xbox One during a live auction Sept. 1 at PAX Prime 2013 in Seattle. Thirty Xbox One entertainment systems were auctioned, and six grand prize auction winners will receive their gaming systems before they become available for public purchase, the company says.

In commemoration of the gaming promotion, Mountain Dew also is bringing back its Mountain Dew Game Fuel product in original Citrus Cherry and new Electrifying Berry flavors. The drinks will hit shelves in early October and are available for a limited time.
