Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi launched a line of wines from Tenuta dell’Ammiraglia, the latest edition to the Tuscan wine estates under the tutelage of the Frescobaldi family. The first wines from the Ammiraglia estate to enter the U.S. market are Vermentino Toscana IGT, a 100 percent Vermentino wine; Terre More Cabernet Maremma Toscana DOC, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah; and Pietraregia Morellino di Scansano Riserva DOCG, the signature wine of the estate. Both Vermentino Toscana IGT and Terre More Cabernet Maremma Toscana DOC wines retail for approximately $18, and Pietraregia Morellino di Scansano Riserva DOCG has a suggested retail price of $25. The wines are distributed in the United States by Folio Fine Wine Partners, based in Napa, Calif.
