G fiftySakéOne released g fifty sake, an American-made Junmai Ginjo Genshu saké, which uses rice milled to 50 percent, the company says. Genshu means that the saké is not diluted, indicating that there is no secondary water added to modify the alcohol level, it adds. The water sourced for g fifty comes from the Coast Mountain range in Oregon. The rice is a special strain with lower fats and protein; it comes from a region of the Sacramento Valley in California. A 300-ml bottle retails for approximately $13, and a 750-ml bottle has a suggested retail price of $25.
