Pure Ally will launch its first product, Kwass’Up, to the market by the end of the year. Kwass’Up is a non-alcohol malt beverage modeled after kvass, which is a popular drink in eastern Europe known for its digestion and energy benefits. Kwass’Up is made using a traditional malting process which begins with whole grain rye and barley. The process of malting partially breaks down nutrients so they are absorbed by the body easier and faster. When the product is consumed, the accelerated digestion is responsible for a natural boost of energy without any additives or caffeine, the company says. Packaged in 16-ounce aluminum bottles and 2-liter PET bottles, Kwass’Up will be available in Traditional, Ginger and Cranberry varieties in select markets within the New York Tri-State area and South Florida. A 16-ounce bottle will retail for approximately $1.89, and a 2-liter bottle will have a suggested retail price of $2.89.
