Milwaukee-based Lakefront Brewery Inc. will introduce its Black Friday imperial India-style black ale on Black Friday, Nov. 23.

The special-edition brew will go on sale at 8 a.m. and will be available for purchase only on Black Friday at the brewery. Featuring 10 percent alcohol by volume, Lakefront describes the beer as a dark ale with ample pine and citrus aromas.

“We know people want to get up early and find the one-day-only, exclusive deals on Black Friday, and we wanted to offer our customers an exclusive beer worthy of getting up early,” Chris Johnson, Lakefront’s marketing director, said in a statement.

The first 300 people that buy the beer also will receive a Black Friday pint glass, says Jessica Koehler, brewery hospitality director.

“Because this beer is so limited, we expect demand to be high for people to buy the ultimate beer gift for their friends and relatives,” Koehler said in a statement. “This will be the go-to gift for the beer lover.”

The brewery also will host its second annual Black Friday festivities, which will feature 12 hours of continuous brewery tours, in conjunction with the launch. Patrons can buy advanced brewery tour tickets on the brewery’s website if they want a guaranteed spot on a specific tour.
