Ole Smoky Moonshine debuts national TV campaign
Gatlinburg, Tenn.-based Ole Smoky Moonshine launched its first national TV ad campaign with the Discovery Channel. Focusing on the network’s series “Moonshiners,” ad spots for Ole Smoky also will appear on “American Chopper” and during the network’s “Shark Week” programming.
“We believe that the Discovery Channel viewers will be a great audience for our first national television ad campaign, and we are confident that these commercials will help us to share our craft from the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee with moonshine lovers across the United States,” said Ole Smoky co-founder Joseph Baker in a statement.
The ad campaign began in rotation during reruns of “Moonshiners” and will continue into October during the season two premiere currently scheduled for early October. The TV campaign features 30-second commercials and 10-second billboards from the liquor brand with one commercial in each of the first four episodes of the new season. Commercial spots will air during the daytime, late afternoon/early evening, weekend and primetime slots.
Rock band My Pet Dragon’s single “Moonshine” also was incorporated into the commercial.
