Scottish Spirits Imports Inc. is launching its single grain Scotch whisky in a 12-ounce can this December. With 40 percent alcohol by volume, one can of the whisky contains three servings. The can is 100 percent recyclable, convenient and portable, and protects the quality of the alcohol inside, the company says. Scotch whisky is a blend of malt and grain with honey, vanilla, butterscotch, apple and pear flavors, and a subtle taste of peat in smoke, the company says. The whisky is distilled and matured in Scotland for a minimum of three years in oak casks. A can retails for approximately $5.
