Kerry Ingredients, Beloit, Wis., expanded its line of organic offerings for the flavors, dairy, proteins and sweet ingredients applications. The company’s Mastertaste division developed organic and SuperNatural organic-compatible flavors in addition to freeze-dried powders, essential oils and oleoresins. Currently, the company has a team of organic specialists and 18 facilities producing a broad line of value-added organic ingredients.
Israel’s Enzymotec announced plans for a third plant expansion, the signing of several research contracts with leading health centers, and the publication of its Cardia Beat-McGill study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
FONA International, Geneva, Ill., welcomed Ray Hartman as senior flavorist in the sweet and confections business unit. The company also named Denise Re flavorist on the flavor development team, Rebecca Wagner to the sweet and confections business unit as senior scientist, and Joanne Kennedy senior account executive on the sales team.
Mitsui Foods., Norwood, N.J., appointed William Butler chief operating officer.
