MeadWestvaco Corp.
, Stamford, Conn., plans to realign its packaging business, establishing a new research-focused Packaging Innovation Center in Raleigh, N.C., and consolidating its U.S. corporate locations into a new headquarters in Richmond, Va. The company’s six divisions in its packaging segment will transition into two focused packaging groups: the new packaging resources group will serve customers of the company’s paperboard business; the new consumer solutions group will focus on providing a full range of consumer packaging solutions. Leadership for the new groups will be Robert A. Feeser, president of the packaging resources group, and William J. Biedenharn, president of the consumer solutions group.
KHS, Waukesha, Wis., has legally changed its name to KHS USA Inc. to better align its corporate identity. KHS USA has spent the past year realigning the organizational structure in North America, following the merger of Klocker Bartelt, Sarasota, Fla., and Kisters Kayat, Edgewater, Fla. The two Florida facilities were consolidated to one in Sarasota.
