Filter development

Argonide Corp. announced the development of its NanoCeram-HF high performance pleated filter cartridges specifically engineered and designed to address the bio-contaminant issues in most water treatment applications. The pleated-filter cartridge uses a design whereby a pleated layer of electropositive filter media is wrapped around a 0.15 micron absolute hollow-fiber membrane. This design yields extremely high filtration efficiency for virus, bacteria and cysts, the company says. When used to protect the hollow-fiber membranes, which are rated to retain 99.9 percent of all bacteria and cysts, a NanoCeram-HF filter offers an ultra-high level of filtration efficiency because of the hollow fibers and the high efficiency reduction levels associated with NanoCeram technology, the company says.

An ECO Audit is a snapshot of a complete line’s situation in full production. The audit has two major objectives: to evaluate any gaps in production performance and energy consumption between the real operation of the line and its original specifications and to establish a reference point and identify levers for an improvement plan aimed at generating energy savings and improving performance quickly based on concrete recommendations.
