Caribou Coffee beverages now with 40 percent fewer calories

Caribou Coffee, Minneapolis, expanded its line of beverages with 40 percent fewer calorie offerings. Caribou’s new Northern Lite beverages include mochas, lattes, tea lattes and blended drinks and are available at all Caribou Coffee locations.

The new beverage lineup includes Caribou’s first ever lite mocha, made with milk, all-natural dark or white chocolate and non-fat whipped topping.

“Northern Lite beverages are the perfect way to enjoy a little indulgence,” said Alfredo Martel, senior vice president of marketing and product management for Caribou Coffee, in a statement. “The new Northern Lite mocha is a chocolate lover’s dream come true. With 40 percent fewer calories — but still made with real chocolate — it’s hard to even taste the difference.”

Caribou’s Happy Monday promotion will return to promote the launch of Northern Lites. On Mondays now through May 30, customers can purchase a breakfast sandwich for $2 as well as any medium Northern Lite beverage for $3. In addition, customers can receive an additional 50 cents off their beverage with the use of reusable drinkware as part of Caribou’s Sustainability Perks program.
