Newcastle Brown Ale has launched in the Newcastle DraughtKeg in Chicago, Southern California and Minneapolis. The technology, created by Heineken USA, uses a pressurized draught system that with a patented internal CO2 system and a mini tap. This feature helps keep the beer fresh for up to 30 days after tapping and delivers the same taste experience as a pint of Newcastle poured in a pub.
DraughtKeg’s recyclable steel packaging holds 1.33 gallons (5 liters), and is compatible with the Krups BeerTender, an appliance designed for the DraughtKeg that chills and maintains the ideal temperature for the DraughtKeg. Suggested retail pricing for the DraughtKeg is $22.99.
