Coca-Cola's 2-liter contour bottle will be available in Philadelphia this week. The package was piloted in Birmingham, Ala., and Chattanooga, Tenn., last year, and was designed to be easier to hold and pour than the original straight-walled bottle.

Philadelphia Coca-Cola Bottling Co. will have all Coca-Cola branded soft drinks available in the new bottle. Francis X. McGorry, president and chief executive officer said: “Consumers love this package innovation, and we feel that it will directly benefit our customers by creating additional interest and demand among their shoppers for our 2-liter portfolio of brands."

In addition to the new Coca-Cola bottle, Philadelphia will feature Coca-Cola's other soft drink brands such as Sprite, Fanta, Fresca and Seagram's in newly shaped 2-liter bottles.
