Pyramid Brewing Co. added Outburst Imperial IPA as its spring seasonal beer. Outburst Imperial IPA is a dry-hopped IPA that debuted in early 2010 as the second offering in Pyramid’s limited-availability, draft-only Ignition Series. The beer has a bold profile and balances the hops with four different specialty malts that create a deep amber hue and sweet caramel and roasted flavors, it says. The beer will be available February through March on draft, in 12-ounce bottles in six- and 12-packs and in 22-ounce bottles. In addition, Outburst Imperial IPA will be included as the seasonal feature in Pyramid’s Winter Variety 12-pack that also includes Haywire Hefeweizen, Apricot Ale and ThunderHead IPA.
