Republic of Tea introduced a line of antioxidant-rich, minimally processed South African green bush teas that support a raw food lifestyle, the company says. The line of herbal tea is made from unoxidized rooibos and includes five varieties of Raw Green Bush Tea: Natural Organic, Black Currant Cardamom, Plantain Coconut, Mango Chili and Orange Red Carrot. The Natural Organic variety is described as having a smooth, delicate flavor with hints of malt and fresh herbal character, the company says. Raw Green Bush Tea are very low in tannins and also contain naturally occurring trace amounts of iron, magnesium, potassium, fluoride, manganese, zinc, calcium and vitamin C, the company says. The varieties are caffeine-free and made in South Africa. The teas are packaged in all-natural tea bags in a tin of 36 bags and are available for $10.
